Oil Wash

This is an oil wash I did of Jesus. I mixed Alizarin Crimson with Burnt Umber for a deep red color to represent his sacrifice. I chose this image of Jesus because it shows deep emotions of love and compassion along with the pain and suffering he felt during his passion. I wanted this painting to mean something to others and I believe I was able to capture and portray these emotions in this piece.
